'The Dreamer' art print by Edward Luper. Hand printed by Prints of Thieves. Limited edition screen print.
Butterflies have long been associated with dreams and the question of reality. The ancient philosopher Zhuangzi (circa 4th century BC) once dreamt that he was a butterfly, but upon waking was unsure if he was a man who had dreamt of being a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming that he is a man.
About the artist: Edward Luper is a London based artist and a specialist in Asian art. His work is strongly influenced by Japanese woodblock prints and other works of Asian art in general.
