'Casa Malaparte' art print by Owen D. Pomery. Limited edition giclee print on 350gsm Hahnemühle Museum Etching paper.
About the building: Casa Malaparte is a striking red modernist villa on Punta Massullo, on the eastern side of the isle of Capri, Italy. It sits on a cliff 32 metres above the sea overlooking the Gulf of Salerno. Conceived around 1937 by Italian architect Adalberto Libera for Curzio Malaparte. It is one of the finest examples of Italian modern and contemporary architecture. The villa's interior and exterior (particularly the rooftop patio) are prominently featured in Jean-Luc Godard's 1963 film, 'Le Mépris' staring Brigitte Bardot.
